How "Super Strong" Redaction Works
- Content Stream Excision: Character drawing operators (
Tj,TJ) are deleted directly from page stream arrays. - Pixel Destruction: Any bitmap image overlapping the redacted bounding box is zeroed out at the pixel level.
- Zero Recovery: Text scrapers,
pdftotext, screen-readers, and forensic recovery tools encounter void space. - Zero Server Footprint: Executes inside client-side WebAssembly RAM. No network transmission.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Are my documents uploaded to a server?
No. All redaction happens 100% locally in your browser memory using WebAssembly. Your files are never transmitted anywhere. - Does this redact both text and scanned images?
Yes. Redaction eradicates character drawing operators from the text layer and destructively paints out overlapping bitmap image pixels. - Is document metadata sanitized?
Yes. PDF author, creator, modification dates, and XML XMP streams are scrubbed upon export.
